Dicalite Management Group Announces Price Increases Across Its Perlite and Exfoliated Vermiculite Product Lines

Bala Cynwyd, PA, March 2020, Dicalite Management Group, an international industrial minerals company, announced today that it is implementing price increases across its Dicaperl Minerals and Specialty Vermiculite Corp brands.

Dicaperl Minerals is implementing price increases up to 10% across its perlite ore and expanded perlite products in North America. The increases are effective as of April 1, 2020, or as pricing agreements permit. The price increase is necessary to offset operational cost increases in the industrial mineral business related to mining, engineering, and transportation costs specifically around freight route optimization to internal expansion plants.

Specialty Vermiculite Corp. (SPV) is implementing price increases up to 12% across its exfoliated vermiculite products in North America. The increases are effective as of April 1, 2020, or as pricing agreements permit. The company is investing steadily in plant improvements particularly at its Enoree, SC plant with additional cost increases related to transporting vermiculite concentrate to its four additional expansion facilities. These investments will greatly improve mill efficiencies at the Enoree, SC production plant and allow for a better flow of processed concentrate to the vermiculite expansion plants in Pompano, FL; Phoenix, AZ; Edmonton, AB; and Winnipeg, MB. The price increases are necessary to offset a fraction of the capital investments that will allow SPV to remain the leading supplier of vermiculite in North America.
