Broad Function:

The Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for performing repairs, preventative, trouble-shooting maintenance within a mineral processing facility. A successful candidate requires good mechanical aptitude with ability and desire to learn. Experience in welding and fabricating required.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Must be able to perform skilled mechanical work with ability to cut and weld 5 to 6” pipe to achieve the angle and length required.

· Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on processing plant equipment.

· Must be able to adapt quickly to changes and communicate effectively to all parties to keep operations running efficiently.

· Assist in the repair and fabrication of process equipment as required.

· Be willing to work overtime as needed (including some weekends and call-ins)

· Assist in keeping the shop and production facility organized and free of hazards.

· Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a routine basis and work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements.

· Must be able to feel comfortable with operating and working on equipment with heights greater than 13 feet.

· 3 years of experience in fabrication required.

· Able to read and follow drawings and blueprints.

· Experience in hoisting and rigging loads.

· Must have ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

· Ability to complete minimal design of minor equipment and figure a material list.

· Must be able to pass a drug test.

· Must have a valid driver’s license.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Bagging product, which includes; marking bags, filling bags, stacking bags, and wrapping bags on pallets.
  • Loading tank trailers.
  • Unloading ore cars, which includes moving the ore car from the hopper to hopper.
  • Cleaning all areas of the plant and keeping it clean. Sweeping the floor at the end of each shift.
  • Greasing the equipment at the beginning of each shift.
  • Cleaning all air filters at the beginning of each shift.
  • Keeping the heavies cleaned up and placed where they belong, even it it means using a wheelbarrow to wheel the heavies out back.
  • Mowing the lawn as needed.
  • Shoveling snow to keep the driveways open and tracks clear when maintenance crew is making repairs while on your shift.
  • Be available to help if needed and to help clean up when task is complete.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Broad Function:

  • The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of Dicalite Management Group’s sales and distributor markets. The position will drive sales to achieve profit growth and sales objectives in line with Dicalite’s vision and strategic plan. The position requires the individual to manage existing customers and distributors, while finding, developing, and establishing new business. Additionally, there is an opportunity to develop and work collaboratively with inside sales resources.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the sales within the region as specified.
  • Develop and build relationships with current and new customers.
  • Compile business and market intelligence and collaborate with internal teams, to develop tailored solutions that address customers’ specific needs.
  • Deliver yearly sales growth targets while maintaining existing customers within the region.
  • Analyze sales reports for pricing and volume irregularities, identifying customers that may have stopped ordering or changed volume requirements.
  • Manage key growth targets across all sectors, with a focus on vermiculite. Ensure growth is targeted and in alignment with plant capabilities and strategic initiatives. Coordinate proper forecasting with plant on target ramp-up and ensure targets are properly captured in upcoming budget.
  • Face to face meetings with customers and distribution partners to develop successful growth and target plans, as well as understanding current product requirements and forecasts.
  • Develop thorough understanding of the assigned market: customer positioning and hierarchy, competitors, trends, products, and new product development needs.
  • Proactively engage prospects to initiate business discussions and conduct thorough needs analysis to understand unmet needs of our customers.
  • Leverage various channels, including networking events, industry conferences, online platforms, and referrals, to generate leads and build a strong pipeline of potential opportunities.
  • Liaise with marketing and new product development colleagues to organize visits/presentations and better establish customer satisfaction.
  • Participate and represent the company at industry trades shows that relate to our products and markets.
  • Complete a weekly report of activity and customer interactions.
  • Maintain an updated view of your sales pipeline across all three mineral product groups.
  • Develop and grow new opportunities at existing accounts.
  • Create strategies for expanding projects and opportunities into new markets for vermiculite.
  • Work closely with the Customer Support team on pricing, invoicing, and order requirements for the customer base.

Job Summary

The QC Technician is responsible for the inspection of raw materials, in-process testing and managing material and finished products to ensure they conform to all standards. The material and product will be tested across the three stages of production (before, in-process and final) to ensure products meet quality control specifications along with recording and maintaining documentation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage QC testing of finished perlite samples and ensure that finished goods meet quality control standards before shipping.
  • Manage all functions of the plant labs including collecting, testing, documenting, retention, and training from raw material, through the production, to finished goods testing.
  • Conduct a variety of tests of materials using various testing tools and methods.
  • Conduct a series of audits throughout the production, packaging, material handling, quality evaluation and shipping processes.
  • Responds to and makes recommendations for preventive measures regarding the resolution and prevention of Customer Complaints.
  • Train and supervise all personnel and activities related to the testing of samples.
  • Interact with other Dicaperl locations on QC procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with the QC team and members of other teams (production, maintenance, etc.)
  • Collect, test, document and send sample requests to customers.
  • Cross train with Production Supervisor and can fill in as needed.
  • Maintain high level communication with Production Supervisor and Plant Manager to ensure efficiency and meeting all plant goals.
  • Verification of shipping documents.
  • Ability to create written procedures or standard work for process control.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent computer skills with experience in (Outlook, Excel and Word) is required.
  • Minimum 2-year degree preferred.
  • The ability to work with a high degree of independence.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to quality and detail.
  • Three years of experience in light duty manufacturing required.
  • Two years’ quality assurance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment would be a plus.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal).
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment (multi-tasking skills a must).
  • Bending to lift items from the floor and racks required.
  • Lifting items between 25 and 50 pounds required.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform safety inspection of work area and equipment.
  • Inspect personal safety equipment for functional working conditions: hard hats, safety toed shoes, eye protection respirators, ear plugs, clothing, etc.
  • Observe all employees working in the laborer’s assigned area to see they are in a condition to work safely and are working safely.
  • Report any hazards in assigned work area to mill operator lead and record on mill report.
  • Complete pre-inspection report on any equipment that laborer may be required to use during shift.
  • Maintain a clean workstation and production floor.
  • Report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Be available to help if needed and to help clean up when task is completed.
  • May be required to shovel or sweep for all or most of an eight (8) hour shift.
